Mounts are unglamorous but they decide whether your camera is filming or lying in the footwell. Adhesive mounts hold much more reliably than suction cups, which tend to release on hot days.
A spare mount is also worth keeping if you move the camera between cars or the original pad loses its grip. Look for a 3-axis adjustment so you can level the horizon precisely after sticking it down.
